Hey there.  My name's Stephanie, and I'm a mother of 2.  I graduated from WIlliam Paterson University with a BA in English, specialization Creative Writing, because I've wanted to be a writer for as long as I could remember.  I wrote my first short story when I was 10.  It featured everyone in my 5th grade class as characters, and they all hated it.  One of my classmates crossed out everyone's name and threw it out. Obviously after that reception, it was quite awhile before I ever showed anyone something that I'd written for fun. I went through what I've realized to be the normal teenage poetry faze in high school, and it was pointed out to me many times that writing poetry isn't a viable career, as I'd make no money at it.  I started trying to write a teenage romance novel at 15.  That was the longest work I've ever written, as I got to page 80 of a Mead notebook. If I typed it all out, it would probably only be as long as everything else I've ever written. Just can't get past page 50.  I'm going back to short stories and observations, and I'd be thrilled to share them with you in my blog.
